Everybody at some point when using a PC will need to clean the mouse, this guide will take you through cleaning a mouse step by step.

When your mouse needs cleaning you will notice it sticking while you are using it, to clean a mouse is fairly straight forward and only takes 10 minutes.

First some general information about how a mouse works.

As you move the mouse on a flat surface the ball turns the rollers inside and sends signals to the computer, the computer then translates these signals into the movement of the mouse pointer.

Emails Can Contain Viruses

spam1.jpg“An e-mail virus is computer code sent to you as an e-mail note attachment which, if activated, will cause some unexpected and usually harmful effect, such as destroying certain files on your hard disk and causing the attachment to be remailed to everyone in your address book. Although not the only kind of computer virus, e-mail viruses are the best known and undoubtedly cause the greatest loss of time and money overall.

The best two defenses against e-mail viruses for the individual user are (1) a policy of never opening (for example, double-clicking on) an e-mail attachment unless you know who sent it and what the attachment contains, and (2) installing and using anti-virus software to scan any attachment before you open it. How to Remove Computer Viruses

“Computer viruses come in many forms and can cause various kinds of damage to your system. Fortunately, most viruses are easily dealt with and effective methods for eliminating them are often developed as soon as the viruses are discovered. If you think your computer may be infected, take any necessary steps to clear your system and avoid infecting other computers.

Step1:Visit your virus-scan software manufacturer’s Web site and install any virus updates that are available. Then run the software. The software may not be able to delete the virus, but it may be able to identify it.

Step2:Search the Web for information regarding your specific virus by typing the name of the virus or its associated file into a search engine followed by the word “virus.” For example, “Melissa virus,” “BubbleBoy virus,” etc.

Step3:Download and install any patches or other programs that will help you eliminate the virus. Or follow any instructions you find on deleting the virus manually. (more…)
